Photograph documenting Illuminate exhibition

In 2012 within two square miles of Portsmouth, England I spent 40 days and 40 nights trying to believe in seven different religions. To make sure the development of each of my beliefs was sincere I set myself a schedule. I became a part of each community, but told no one of my flirtation with faith. The process both destroyed and empowered me.

THE SCHEDULE:

Monday – Buddhist
Tuesday – Protestant
Wednesday – Spiritualist
Thursday – Sikh
Friday – Muslim
Saturday – Jewish
Sunday – Catholic

It started on a Wednesday.
